Thriving Ivy Career Coaching
Originating from consultancy in the UK and Europe, Thriving Ivy now has its roots firmly in career coaching in the South West of England.
Based in North Devon, Judith Gentry is a career coach who helps professional people find their passion and goals so that they actually want to go to work when they wake up!
If this sounds like what you are missing – that passion for what you do – then read on to find out more.
Is something lacking in your career?
For your part, you’ll already be successful, but most likely looking for something more from your career. You may have a goal in mind, a problem to be solved or a specific end result that you want to achieve but struggling to make sense of it all and find a way forward.
Are you at a crossroads in your career?
You may be finding yourself at a crossroads in your career and feeling unchallenged or not clear on what direction to take. You may be secretly harbouring a desire for a complete change of direction – yet find yourself squashing that thought – but it’s getting harder to do that.
Are you returning to the workplace?
You may be returning to the workplace after a period away – perhaps after maternity leave and facing anxiety about how to make this transition. Often events outside the workplace can crowd out our ability to think clearly about our working life, competing for your attention and your already limited ‘spare time’.
How I will help you
I will help you reconnect with your brilliance, identify your goals and set timescales.
I will focus on coaching you to achieve your professional goals and corresponding lifestyle changes since it is almost impossible to isolate one from the other.
I will help you find your focus, the areas of your life that you are looking to change.
I will provide a supportive but objective approach as you progress, to keep you mindful of your goals and bring challenge and practical support.
Together, right from our first session, we will start to build a plan on how these changes will come about.
Your bespoke plan will include practical aspects of career coaching such as venues, session length and frequency and cost proposal.

A few of my favourite things
It is important to have a secret, a premonition of things unknown. I enjoy the idea of exploring the unseen world behind this door.
You have to experience Liverpool slowly and quietly in order to get to know her. And it’s my home town. So I’m biased.
I like this artwork, by Nick Gentry from 2009, as it reminds me that often the work of a psychotherapist includes helping a client to reconnect with...
